Woitzel saves money by choosing the right options

In 2023, Woitzel owned two crushers as well as two Keestrack screens and a stacker, meaning that it was already in contact with Oppermann & Fuss and its salesman Julian Pollmeyer. When the company decided to buy a new impact crusher, it was he who explained the features of Keestrack crushers. “Woitzel choose the Keestrack R3 impact crusher with double deck after screen with wind sifter,” said Uwe Woitzel.

“With the Keestrack machine we save fuel as it is much more economic compared to the previous jaw and impact crusher. The two deck after screen with return conveyor saves space, is easy to detach, and is easy to transport to demolition sites without a permit. This way the impactor is used both on the holding and recycling site, as on the actual demolition site,” Jannik Woitzel continued.

At the holding and recycling site, Woitzel produces RC-1 certified 0/8mm and 8/45mm used as crushed sand with the bigger fraction used as a stable base for road construction. It works produces about 160t/h for around six hours a day. It is equipped with a vibrating feeder and a pre-screen of 1,200mm x 920mm, an asymmetric inlet opening which facilitates longer material to turn when entering the inlet. Its high inertia rotor has a diameter of 1,100mm and a width of 920mm. The crusher is also  equipped in closed circuit with a recirculation conveyor and a double deck precision screen of 3,100mm x 1,400mm that produces a defined aggregate product size. An installed wind sifter is designed to eliminate contaminants such as plastics, wood or paper. An overband magnet separates valuable metals, with the fully equipped R3 weighing 33t.

The R3 is also equipped with a remote control so it can be controlled by the excavator operator from the cabin. It has an integrated water spray system which can be used in case production gets too dusty. It is also equipped with a Keestrack ‘UMTS/GPS’ system. This telematics system is designed to provide real time data and analytics, and the exact location of the machine. All aspects can be checked from a distance, and if necessary, remote software updates can be made. It is also possible to run diagnostic tests for all components including the feeder, crusher, after screen and conveyors. It also functions in planning maintenance by Oppermann & Fuss, helping to keep the machine in optimum condition.
