Doppstadt says it has focused on flexibility and user friendliness with the SM 620.3. “With the latest generation of our trommel, users no longer have to choose between a diesel or electric drive,” explains Moritz Müller, product manager at Doppstadt. This is due to the DualPower drive which combines both, and depending on the application, an uncomplicated change is possible. For example, if there is no power connection available, diesel operation is an option. In this case, the addition of AdBlue is no longer necessary. This saves costs and makes refuelling particularly easy. In residential areas, the ‘e-drive’ scores with its low noise levels, and in halls with reduced emissions. 

Galvanised discharge belts

The SM 620.3 is said by the company to set new standards in material processing. The galvanised discharge belts are designed to offer high resistance and protection against corrosion. This proves particularly effective in demanding applications such as the processing of minerals. Furthermore, the new trommel is the result of intensive communication with users. Doppstadt states that it has optimised the machine to meet their requirements.

 “Whether it’s about efficiency, cost effectiveness or flexibility in use, the SM 620.3 delivers well thought out solutions that make every day work noticeably easier,” says Müller. Other innovations include the redesign of the machine frame and the new arrangement of the motor and hopper. Both aspects significantly improve ease of maintenance thanks to large, hinged doors and practical cleaning openings. Wear protection solutions made of heavy rubber also ensure increased safety and durability. Flexibility and a wide range of equipment are designed to optimally equip the machine for the chosen application.

Proven technology, increased efficiency

The new stone grid, which opens to over 90o, quickly removes sticky material and allows convenient loading. Like its predecessor models, the new trommel is also equipped with a modern load sensing hydraulic control system that is designed to optimise energy consumption and reduce operating costs. “The new model offers the same performance with even greater efficiency,” says Müller, summarising the benefits for users. With the SM 620.3, Doppstadt is presenting a machine that it believes combine proven technology with innovative product features.
