Premiere for 7t attachments in Austria

Magyer Betriebs GmbH from Untersiebenbrunn, to the east of Vienna, Austria, has invested heavily in large demolition machines. 30 new Volvo carriers, among other things, are being added to the construction company’s fleet. In addition are two of the largest Epiroc attachments that the Swedish group has ever delivered to Austria: an Epiroc HB 7000 hydraulic breaker and an Epiroc CC 7000 demolition cutter. With an operating weight of 7t each, the two heavyweights are designed for demolition and rock excavation on any large construction site.

In addition to gravel, grit and sand harvesting, as well as earthworks and landfill construction, demolition has been an important business area for Magyer Betriebs GmbH for 15years. Latterly, the construction company has added to its fleet, with one such addition being the new EC 750E high reach demolition excavator from Volvo. With this machine, equipped with a multi grapple from Epiroc, it proved to possible to demolish a 36m high chimney within 30min on a 72,000m2 construction site in southern Vienna. “That’s the start of something big, because the chimney demolition is just the beginning and many other large demolition projects will follow,” explains Marcel Magyer, managing director of Magyer Betriebs GmbH.

Quality from Epiroc

When it comes to attachments, Magyer states that it relies on the quality of Epiroc and equips its machines with numerous hydraulic attachment tools to efficiently cover all possible applications. For example, Epiroc CB 2500 concrete crushers and an MG 2700 multi grapple are used as high reach equipment on the new Volvo excavator. The new 7t heavyweights were also used for heavy duty demolition tasks on the same construction site. With an operating weight of 7t, the CC 7000 demolition crusher fits carriers from 58t-85t, whilst the HB 7000 hydraulic breaker is designed for carriers from 70t-120t. “Our Volvo carriers with Epiroc attachments are an unbeatable combination. The efficiency of carrying out heavy duty demolition work in a shorter time is our top priority,” says Marcel Magyer.
