Pentruder MDU3 core drill system from Tractive impresses
Published 3/3 at 14:45During the winter, the Pentruder MDU3 core drill has been put to test in several markets, delivering highly positive feedback. The results reported from different countries gave positive feedback regarding the high power, wide speed range and versatility of the MDU3.
“It's still impresses me with its power all through the register, from low speed to high speed, and it’s maintaining the power even under heavy load,” said the Swedish concrete cutting contractor Andreas Trönnberg. Kjell Dackeberg from Akutt in Norway added: “The drop gear feature to change speed range, i.e. changing model, is so easy. I just put the drill motor upside down on the drill rig, wiped it off so it is clean and took off the lid to change the drop gears.” Other features to mention are the optional Pentruder auto feed, the quick disconnect coupling for the drill bit and the easy to use Pentruder app where the operator can monitor spindle speed, load and much more. Having finished the test phase, the MDU3 will be released to the market in March 2025, beginning in Europe.
To meet the expected demand for the MDU3 and other existing Pentruder products, Tractive AB, the family owned Swedish company behind the Pentruder brand, is investing heavily and will at the end of 2025 finish a 4,400m2 extension to its premises to make room for more manufacturing machinery, assembly area and stock of parts and machines.
“Many customers might not know that we produce almost all parts inhouse, and that we have a huge number of parts on stock, both for the MDU3 but also for all our machines. It is very important to us that our customers get spare parts when needed. Our focus is on building machinery which will be productive for many years and bring value to its owner, as well as make the workday of the operator easier,” says Elin Skantz, head of marketing at Tractive AB.
