Published 2/4 at 11:08

Scanreco will be exhibiting a whole host of solutions at bauma. One of these is the ‘Rocket’ long range transmitter. This combines the design of the ‘Rocket Flex’ with the G6 platform and enhanced long range capabilities, being designed for applications like vacuum suction trucks and directional drilling. Its key features include versatility in environments with signal obstacles, safety and security with compliance to EN ISO 13849-1 cat. 3, PL d, a battery consumption control combined with an ergonomic, shockproof, and water resistant design.

Other exhibits include Scanreco’s ‘Proximity Detection System’ which provides operational awareness for operators working with hazardous machines like stump grinders and trench rollers. The proximity detection system measures the distance between the transmitter and the receiver, ensuring that the operator always stays within a set safe zone. Scanreco also has a wide range of advanced displays to elevate operator performance with feedback and visibility. The company has added more to its range with optically bonded shock proof glass for durability and anti-reflection, also being compatible with Mini G2/G3, Maxi G2/G3, and Mini G6. There will also be shown at bauma the company’s new displays for micro transmitters along with several other display options for transmitter models.

Scanreco’s camera solution is designed to provide a reliable and efficient way to monitor operations. This system provides clear visibility even in challenging conditions, enhancing operational safety and productivity. It delivers imaging in various lighting conditions, has wireless connectivity for easy installation and stable connections as well as low latency for real time applications. The new ‘ruggedized’ charger being exhibited is designed for high vibration environments where access to the electric grid is limited. It is designed to ensure that operations continue smoothly without interruptions, whilst the  infrared (IR) solution contributes to operator safety and efficiency in self-propelled applications such as trench rollers and compactors. The IR solution enables a line of sight detection possibility ensuring that the operator always is observing the machine operation. If there is no visual contact, the machine stops.

Last but not least, the new carry belt has been developed to enable operators to wear the transmitter at waist height, freeing both hands for tasks. Developed in collaboration with functional wear designers, this belt has emerged from extensive field studies and is aimed at optimising operators’ ability to move freely by providing accessories along with high tech HMI focused platforms. Its key features include a new buckle for quick and easy dressing/undressing, a sturdy lower back support made of breathable material, a strong and adjustable belt, adapted belt loops to hold tools and utensils for easy access during operations, a folding front plate to support the belly pack’s weight while allowing freedom of movement. It is of a non-bulky design making it to easily slip into small storage areas.
