Last call for bauma Innovation Award 2022
Published 19/4, 2022 at 08:53bauma exhibitors can still enter the bauma Innovation Award until 3 May, 2022, with the presentation of the award, as is traditional, taking place on the eve of the opening of the trade fair at the Munich Residence.
VDMA Construction – Equipment and Plant Engineering and VDMA Mining, together with Messe München and the partner associations HDB, ZDB and bbs, are conducting the multi-stage competition process and hosting the bauma Innovation Awards ceremony in the Max Joseph Hall of the Munich Residence. Innovations that have not yet been advertised at other trade fairs or have already received an award are eligible. Participants can submit their entries by using the template on the web portal. In order to reflect technical progress and social and political developments, the categories have been revised to comprise of: Category 1 Climate protection, Category 2 Digitalisation, Category 3 Mechanical engineering, Category 4 Building and Category 5 Research.
The VDMA represents more than 3,400 German and European mechanical and plant engineering companies, standing for innovation, export orientation and medium sized businesses. These companies employ around 4M people in Europe, more than 1M of them in Germany alone. Mechanical and plant engineering represents a European turnover of around €800B. In the entire manufacturing sector, it contributes the highest share to the European gross domestic product with a value added of around €270B euros.
