Kleemann increases performance and quality through different plant combinations

Published 2/4 at 14:02

With a daily material throughput of up to 4,000t, Kleemann plants have been processing demolition material for many years in a professional manner in the Spanish capital. The different plant combinations provide flexibility combined with quality and a high output.

The plants are deployed in different combinations according to the requirements on the large Recicam recycling site in Madrid. The ‘Mobicat’ MC 120i Pro jaw crusher combined with ‘Mobirex’ MR 130i Pro impact crusher forms a powerful team when it comes to processing large feed material. Together, these two machines process materials sizes of up to 1,200mm and deliver a final product of what is said to be excellent quality. The output on the site is up to 250t/h. The combination of jaw and impact crusher is used to produce final grain sizes of 0-20mm and 20-40mm, depending on the covering of the screening surfaces.

For heavily contaminated demolition material, the impact crusher is deployed in interaction with a ‘Mobiscreen’ 802i Evo scalping screen. In the process, 260t/h passes over the screen, a third of which goes into the crusher, while the rest is used to build drainage systems. The demands made on a total of eight Kleemann machines are high in terms of capacity, with the plants processing up to 4,000t of material a day.

‘Spective Connect’ provides a good overview

All crushing plants are equipped with Spective Connect, which enables simple operation and monitoring. This means that important machine data can be accessed in real time without having to leave the plant repeatedly and irrespective of where the operator is on the site. If something related to production capacity or plant consumption changes, immediate action can be taken.

Product quality at a glance

The Kleemann impact crusher is equipped with magnetic separators and wind sifters to achieve maximised purity and produce what is said to be a high quality final product. These also remove ferrous foreign materials and lightweight materials such as wood and plastic. This increases the quality of the final product as shown by its consistent cubicity and purity of the material.

Overall package is convincing

For Recicam managing director Juan Manuel Camacho, the decision in favour of Kleemann went beyond the technology itself. “Of course the machines are powerful and efficient, but what really convinced us was the total package. We feel very well looked after locally, it’s easy for us to get hold of spare parts, and in production, the costs per ton are unbeatable. The plants are intuitive to operate, well designed and very robust, key factors when you consider that we process thousands of tons of material here every day.”
