Incorrect information
Published 21/4, 2020 at 10:54In PDi issue 1-2020, an article was published about the use of Brokk machines for demolition work at the Mumbai Metro.
The article was published on pages 61-62. Unfortunately some incorrect figures were used. PDi wrote that the diameter of the metro tube is 8.5m; the correct figure should be 5.8m. Additionally PDi wrote that the massive drill, cutting through the bedrock, is 8m in diameter. The correct diameter should be 6.5m. The contractor working in the metro was named as ITD Cementation in the article but the correct name of the contractor should be CEC-ITD Cem-TPL Joint Venture. We apologise for the mistakes which are now duly rectified.
