Hitachi Construction Machinery UK celebrates 20 years at HQ
Published 22/12, 2024 at 19:41October 2024 marked 20 years since HM Plant moved from to its current headquarters. The company also changed its name to Hitachi Construction Machinery UK in 2014. These moves reflected Hitachi’s commitment to supporting a growing customer base as well as enabling more efficient and cost effective importation of machinery. The production facility continues to provide an environment to meet the needs of the company. Across its two sites, it provides the foundation needed to innovate, collaborate and continue to provide customer focused solutions for standard, specialist, and large machinery. This includes the rapidly expanding Hitachi Connected Technology division, which was previously located at the Port of Tyne depot.
David Roberts, CEO at HCMUK commented: “Since establishing our headquarters in the Northeast, HCMUK has grown significantly right across the UK and Ireland requiring more branches and significantly more people to support that growth. Aligning our values with those of our employees has been a critical part of our success over the past 20 years, where our team help customers thrive in an environment that fosters collaboration and innovation in every service we provide.
“Testament to this is the fact that we have several employees who continue to work for the business 20 years on, and we continue to welcome employees, customers and suppliers to a space that truly represents our values and our dedication to them. Where the company and our employees work toward the same mutual successes, including our vision to be a class leading solutions partner.”
