Epiroc unveils enhanced EC 100 hydraulic breaker

Epiroc has announced the launch of its updated EC 100 hydraulic breaker, packed with features designed to enhance handling, extend lifespan, and reduce maintenance needs. A standout feature of this model is the new wear bushing system, which simplifies maintenance with a replaceable insert that minimises downtime and costs. This insert can be turned 180° once the wear limit is reached, allowing continued operation while a new insert is ordered. Field replacement is easy with simple hand tools, eliminating the need for special equipment.

The EC 100 is now 180mm shorter and weighs 40kg less, improving handling and reducing energy consumption. The model features hybrid technology with an integrated nitrogen piston accumulator, designed to deliver high impact energy and smooth operation. The ‘VibroSilenced Plus’ system lowers noise and vibration levels. Advanced control technology, including an integrated control valve and an energy recovery system are designed to optimise efficiency and reduce vibrations. The breaker is ideal for applications such as demolition, rock excavation, and landscaping, ensuring high productivity and minimal downtime.

Epiroc expands its demolition pulveriser range with DP 3220

Epiroc has introduce the new DP 3220 to its demolition pulveriser range, joining the successful DP 1820, DP 2320 and DP 4220 models, while simultaneously completing the range. Designed for carriers of between 26t -45t and with a service weight of 3,250 kg, the DP 3220 features a performance booster, which is designed to enhance performance by up to 20%, reduce jaw cycle time by up to 25%, and improve fuel efficiency by up to 35%. This model also offers precise handling with 360° endless hydraulic rotation and a modular design that eliminates the need for cylinder rod protection.

Unique opportunity: one body, two versions

The Epiroc demolition pulveriser range with its performance booster can be retrofitted onto existing attachments. Epiroc states that unlike other pulverisers on the market that require different bodies to withstand the load of a performance booster, the slim, modular design can cope with the additional power. The DP 3220 is ideal for demolition tasks and secondary breaking of debris, facilitating material recycling and re-use, making it a versatile and sustainable solution for various applications..
