Cams at Bauma: Showcasing Innovation in Recycling and Road Construction

Published 2/4 at 13:06

A novelty, a well-known plant for recycling milled material, and a machine that symbolizes tradition.

It might sound like a puzzle, but this is exactly what the Italian Cams, specialists in fixed and mobile crushing, screening, and shredding plants, is bringing to Bauma. At the Munich fairgrounds, at position FS.1213/1, the Centauro 75.25 will be on display for the very first time. The smallest in the Centauro range, like all its larger counterparts, is versatile, eco-friendly, and integrates a shredder, screen, and magnetic separator. This mobile machine is designed for direct use on construction sites and can handle difficult-to-process or wet materials. It features remote control for full management and offers either a hybrid (diesel/electric) or fully electric power supply. Specifically, this model is powered by a 105 kW FTP F36 Stage V diesel engine, with a MeccAlte 165 kVA alternator. Notably, all Centauro models can also run on renewable energy, such as solar power.

The Centauro XL 150.69 APR that will be showcased at the Cams stand at Bauma in the livery of a Belgian customer is a well-known and popular machine in the road construction sector. Capable of recovering 100% of asphalt – including all the material removed, milled, and slats – while preserving the original bitumen content, it stands out for its secondary shredder. This shredder operates at low revolutions, breaking down the material without altering its particle size distribution.

Finally, the Pavijet MG7 Super, a vibratory paver from Malavasi G., a long-established company in the road construction industry acquired by Cams in 2024, will also be featured. This compact machine, complete with an international patent, is equipped with a telescopic screed, allowing it to navigate around obstacles. It can lay hot and cold asphalt bitumen, as well as cement, sand, and aggregates.
