Back in Vegas!
Published 23/12, 2024 at 12:03It's time for the World of Concrete again in Las Vegas which will be held from 21 to 23 January 2025. Once again, visitors will make the journey from far and wide to learn about new products on the market.
On 21-23 January 2025, it is once again time for the world’s largest concrete fair to open its doors, which is being held for the 51st time. Not all of these have been in Las Vegas, but in the last two decades or so, the fair has taken root there. Just one day before the fair starts, Donald Trump will be sworn in as the new President of the United States, becoming the 47th President.
Good spin on the wheels
Despite the fact that the American market has also been struggling with the effects of costly wars around the world, a recession in parts of Europe, and inflation that is just beginning to be overcome, the American construction sector is doing quite well. Considerably better than Europe anyway. This was already noticed at the fair in January 2024 and it will be interesting to see what visitors and exhibitors say about market conditions during the next fair in 2025.
The January 2024 edition was attended by almost 60,000 people, which was an increase of 23% compared to 2023. Can we expect an increase in 2025 as well? Over 1,400 companies exhibited, which is probably a number that cannot be beaten with the bauma Munich trade fair in Europe being held in April 2025. But we shall see.
Everything in concrete
World of Concrete spans everything connected to concrete. For PDi, it is mainly the processing of concrete in various ways such as drilling, demolishing, grinding and polishing, as well as the renovation of damaged concrete that is of interest. But at the fair in Las Vegas attendees will find everything they require with regards to concrete. The only fair that can compete with it is bauma Munich, but at World of Concrete all items of interest are easy to find.
During the pandemic, the fair lost both visitors and exhibitors, which is understandable. It was then decided to reduce the fair to three days, and this has remained so. At last year’s fair, the number of visitors returned to pre-pandemic numbers. Now everything looks very promising with a wide and large field of exhibitors. The only thing that may have an impact is that as the bauma Munich is being held in April, some exhibitors and visitors might choose one or the other trade fair. Regardless, PDi Magazine will as usual be at the fair and covering it, exhibiting in the Central Hall, stand C4240. If you are going to the fair, you are more than welcome to drop by.
