This year, Atlas was again represented at the ISRI Convention, the largest event for the recycled materials industry. The annual ISRI Convention and Exposition took place in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino from the 15 to 18 April 2024.

ISRI claims to be the ‘Voice of the Recycled Materials Industry’, representing more than 1,600 companies in the U.S. and 40 countries around the globe. Based in Washington, D.C., ISRI provides advocacy, education, safety and compliance training, and promotes public awareness of the vital role recycled materials play in the U.S. economy, global trade, the environment and sustainable development. At its April show, the SMH Group, the North American distributor of Atlas machines, brought and exhibited two Atlas material handlers, a 350 and 200.

Said to be precision built and purpose driven material handling solutions crafted for productivity and comfort, Atlas material handlers include mobile industrial and industrial tracked machines. They are designed to work on applications such as scrap, wood, bulky goods, special recycling, port applications and vacuum operations. Their features have been developed to include fast cycle times, optimised handling, mechanical expertise, reliability, extended life span and versatility, providing a range of diverse equipment to meet customer expectations.

Exhibited at the show was the Atlas 350 MH which is powered by a turbocharged 180kW Deutz TCD 6.1l engine, with the machine on display equipped with a four tine scrap grapple. The 200 is powered by a turbocharged Deutz TCD 6.1l engine with an output of 129kW and was shown with a sorting grapple.
