Atlas Copco’s vibro-reduced hydraulic breakers

Atlas Copco’s new four model range of handheld hydraulic breakers have improved vibration characteristics.

“On the spring-mounted handles we have improved the vibration characteristics by suspending the heavy weight handle in a dampened pivot pin, decreasing the vibration emissions,” says handheld hydraulic products product line manager Jan Byrresen. “We transferred this solution from our successful range of pneumatic breakers and achieved hereby higher operator comfort also on our hydraulic line of handheld breaker. Very often vibro-reduction is achieved by reducing performance. Atlas Copco breakers stay at the same high performance level but reduce vibrations significantly.”
Handheld hydraulic breakers have just two moving parts. There is minimal wear and very few parts to service as moving parts are running in oil. “An ideal tool for the rental industry, since it is easy to own and easy to work with,” says Jan Byrresen. “Our new range combines high efficiency and performance with better operator comfort. The low weight and reduction of vibration have been the key targets in developing this new line.”
