Husqvarna’s new demolition robot DXR 250 to be followed by one more
Husqvarna has added the remotely controlled demolition robot DXR 250 to the larger DXR 310 launched in 2009.
“We have developed our new robot because there is a demand for a machine in this size class. The DXR 250 is compact and flexible to operate. It only weighs 1620 kg and has an output of 18.5 kW. There is also a 22 kW option. It is the most powerful machine in its size class in the market,” says Husqvarna Construction Products demolition equipment business manager Thomas Nilsson. Like the DXR 310, the DXR 250 robot is simple to service and maintain. The new remote control system with Bluetooth technology is easy to use, with a clear plain text display that indicates when various servicing is required. The control system is adapted to handle demolition environments. The DXR 250 is suitable for working with minor demolition and sensitive environments in applications such as the processing industry, interior work and demolition work in restricted spaces, such as pile driving. The new robot was unveiled at the World of Concrete in USA in February and deliveries started the same month. Husqvarna will show the DXR 250 in their booth at Bauma. Additionally another robot, the DXR 140, will be launched during the spring.
