Bauma is always an outstanding show. When other shows have decreased in their numbers of exhibitors, space and visitors Bauma has increased. Next Bauma in April more than 3000 exhibitors will attend, which is the biggest number ever.

Business on the road to recover but the number of exhibitors down at WOC 2010

At World of Concrete 2010 in February there will hopefully be another spirit on the exhibition floor then at the event in 2009. The numbers of exhibitors are down in 2010 but that they were up in 2009 was probably that it was too late to cancel. The recession came as a thief in the night so to speak.

SAIE Down but Still Standing

It is difficult for organizers of construction machinery equipment shows in these difficult times. SAIE 2009 in Italy in October was a major disappointment this year as a result of a weak market and a collision with other shows in the same business segment.

The Demolition Party

The demolition show at InfraCity in Stockholm is returning to the exhibition calendar. The first show in 1998 attracted professionals from the demolition, recycling, concrete cutting, grinding and polishing and related sectors. The exhibition was a great success with exhibitors and visitors and will be held again next year under the banner of DEMCON 2010. And the organisers are anticipating it will be even better than the previous shows.

High quality attendance at Intermat

With by far the most severe worldwide economic downturn since World War II, there were big worries, not the least from the organizers, that the most important construction trade show this year, Intermat 2009 in Paris, was going to be a disappointment for many exhibitors and visitors. Maybe so for some, but hindsight indicates that worries were quite exaggerated.

On A Roll: World of Concrete Beats the Odds with a Big Show

Las Vegas’ allure as a glitzy oasis in the desert provided a fitting backdrop to the 2008 edition of World of Concrete. If only for a few days, attendees could escape the seemingly unending swirl of gloomy economic news and lose themselves in the sea of construction equipment and products that filled the Las Vegas Convention Center’s expansive exhibition halls. Unbelievable Bauma!

The worldwide boom in construction helped to boost this year’s Bauma fair in Munich to become the largest trade fair ever. According to Bauma organizer, Messe München International, Bauma 2007 was the most successful trade fair of all time breaking most records. There were more than 3,000 exhibitors and the number of visitors increased by around 20% to approximately 500,000. About 160,000 visitors came from abroad representing approximately 190 different countries.
